Well… that was a busy weekend! 😅🥋 (although it has been many weekends…this was a busy one).The first batch of tami Prototype Editions is nearly ready.It’s taken a lot longer than I imagined, but I’ve pretty much spent the weekend turning my house into a tiny tami production line. 😂 the family now call it the ‘tami factory’ 🤣Figures have been printed and built, medals made and assembled, boxes lined by hand, labels designed and printed… and there’s been an awful lot of cutting, gluing, sanding and figuring things out along the way!And that’s really what the Prototype Edition is all about.These aren’t factory-produced figures. They’re the early tami prototypes, made and finished by hand here in Scotland. They’re a little rough around the edges, every one will have its own quirks, and no two will be exactly the same — but that’s part of their story.Each one comes with its 2026 WUKF Scottish Open Karate Championships base, Scottish medal and Prototype Edition packaging.The first batch should be ready for collection at the Kanzen Cup next Sunday. 🥋🏴And while I’ve been making these…🚢 the real First Edition tami figures are already on their way.Those are professionally factory-produced figures and are currently somewhere at sea making their way to Scotland. All going to plan, the tami FIRST EDITION will make its debut at the WUKF European Championships in October.So these slightly imperfect little Prototype Editions really are the ones that came before the beginning.A lot of time, work and late nights have gone into them — but seeing that pile of boxes tonight made it feel worthwhile. ❤️tami — Built for martial arts.
